Looking at our business landscape today, there are several disruptions from different directions occurring simultaneously: Artificial Intelligence (AI), ideology changes away from DEI and wokeness, and political changes opposite of recent years are just a few that are top of mind. The net effect for leaders is in order to survive and compete, we must evolve our ability to think and do at a higher level of intelligence.
The pathway for a leader to evolve their ability to think and do at a higher level of intelligence is provided in the book “Transact, Transform, Transcend, Becoming a Thoughtful Leader: Stories from the Journey” and by utilizing Intelligence Catalyst’s “In The FlowTM” approach.
Becoming a thoughtful leader requires leading in a direction that is best for all concerned, leading with love from your heart, and with a reverence for life. In addition, the leader must be able to recognize the traits of the transcendent leader: able to rise above the fray and become aware, able to discern, to make meaningful decisions, and lead with new perspectives. Rising above the fray means moving beyond the often chaotic and ambiguous physical world we live in—filled with fractured policies and stalled governance where pride, ego and an uninformed gut are key drivers for decision making—to the more ardent clarity that accompanies listening, learning, and shaping of organization knowledge.
Intelligence Catalyst’s “In The FlowTM” approach enables successful adoption of AI technologies by utilizing the proven formula, required progression, and required leadership. Intelligence Catalyst’s approach empowers leaders to use their thoughtful leadership skillset to stay ahead of change, to lead their teams and organization at the rate of their teammate’s ability to absorb and shape. This is critical because individuals of the organization become empowered to manage the effects, emotions, and the overwhelming challenges and speed of change.
This combination of a leader’s ability to discern, maintaining clear vision, and decision-making with an individual’s ability to govern the rate of change based on their ability to absorb and shape will provide an organization the ability to have a competitive advantage by limiting disruption, retaining/building talent, and harnessing innovation while figuring out how to best adopt AI. Why is this so important? Looking ahead to the near future, according to the “Joe Rogan Experience #2281 – Elon Musk” podcast, Elon Musk responded to questions at time mark 2 hours 17 minutes 49 seconds estimating that AI will become smarter than the smartest human by next year or the following year (2026, 2027) and smarter than all humans combined by 2029, 2030.
As a leader, one critical question becomes: how can you lead your organization to co-exist with and work with AI? By leading thoughtfully and adopting AI as Intelligence Catalyst recommends, you are enabled by a proven and repeatable pathway to think and do at a higher level of intelligence.
